This weekend, I baked a batch of old-fashioned goodness… Snickerdoodles. I made half the batch with the customary cinnamon and sugar coating and half with just sugar. The cookies are always yummy as is, but I also use them as a base for individual fruit pizzas. At the cabin, I can have the toppings including the cream cheese mixture, glaze and cookies ready to go for everyone to make their own desserts. Fruits that work well for toppings included raspberries, blueberries, kiwi, bananas and strawberries. For a quicker version, use spreadable cream cheese. The strawberry flavored version is very good.
