This dressing can be made, baked and reheated (covered) in a 300° oven before serving. For my Thanksgiving dinner, I place the dressing in a large piece of heavy duty foil and form the mixture into a long roll like a meatloaf and roll up and seal. I then can fit it in the side of my oven along side other dishes while heating the dressing up for dinner. It saves a great deal of oven space.
Note; Dressed Up Dressing… My family likes the Basic Dressing recipe for our Thanksgiving meal. But, if your family is a little more adventurous you can add dried cranberries, chopped dried apricots or chopped mushroom, as pictured, for the Dressed Up Dressing version.
